WHO CAN BENEFIT FROM THIS UNIQUE PRINTMAKING?

WHAT IS ENCAUSTIC MONOTYPE?

The Encausic Monotype is a painterly approach to printmaking.
It is experimental, freeing and has been used successfully with
a range of imagery and stylistic approaches.

This exciting process applies the ancient painting medium of
encaustic (beeswax and pigment) to the popular montype process.

Workshops are tought by Paula Maenza Roland, MFA, who has
exibited nationally, received an award from the NEA, and has extensive
university teaching experience. Paula developed the encaustic monotype
workshops and established The Open Studio to create empowering
opportunities for artists through exhibitions and innovative teaching.
